Amplified Living

Life, Turned Up

Amplified Living started as a way to talk honestly about life as an amputee — and it became something bigger: a community, a brand, and a daily practice of choosing joy on purpose.

I’m a left-leg amputee, and my prosthetics have names. Peg handles the everyday adventures. Ethel Mermaid comes out when there’s water involved. They are both absolutely fabulous.

My Story

Losing a limb changes your life in ways you can’t fully anticipate — practical, emotional, logistical, and deeply personal. I’ve navigated all of it, and I’ve learned that the way through is not around the hard stuff but straight through it, preferably with humor, good people, and an outfit that makes you feel like yourself.

I work as an amputee peer advisor, which means I get to sit with people who are at the beginning of a journey I’ve already been on and help them see that there is a full, rich, loud life on the other side. That work matters more to me than I can say.

I’m also a passionate advocate for healthcare access and disability awareness, because the systems that are supposed to support people like me are often broken — and that needs to change.

Fearless Over 50

My book Fearless Over 50 grew directly out of the Amplified Living philosophy. It’s for every woman who has been told — by the world, by her circumstances, by the voice in her own head — that her best years are behind her. They are not. I promise you, they are not.

The Shop

The Amplified Living Etsy shop carries empowerment-focused merchandise — bracelets, accessories, and wearable reminders that you are exactly enough. Designed with humor, heart, and the belief that the right words on your wrist can change your whole day.
