Yesterday was my birthday and my sweetie not only threw me an amazing birthday party, complete with champagne toast and an awesome cake, he popped the BIG question! And, of course, I said “yes!”

And take a look at my gorgeous ring. It’s a filigree white gold ring with a diamond…vintage 1928-ish. Sooooo pretty.

My mother asked me if I was on Cloud 9…I think it’s more like Cloud 99!

There is sad news….

My sister’s cat and my beloved fur-niece, Leeny Keller, escaped from the house yesterday in Florida and has not returned. Leeny is a tiny little girl of a house cat and is not schooled in the great outdoors. My nieces and nephews have been searching high and low for her, checking with the shelters, and putting up posters around the neighborhoods.

I ask that you please send out strong prayers for Leeny’s safe return home where she is loved and protected.

Here’s a picture of her to focus on…

Thanks and hugs!

Greetings from rain-soaked Southern California. Yuck…been raining for three days straight and expecting three more. This isn’t why I’m wintering here…of course, it could be snow, right? At least you can play in the snow…

So, I’ve been getting a lot of e-mails from people asking about the GHOST HUNTRESS movie…when is it coming out, how can they audition, etc. I thought I’d address it here for everyone…

My agent did sell the movie option rights to the first three GHOST HUNTRESS books to the fabulous folks at Shoulderhill Entertainment. What does this mean? It means that I have sold the rights to making the books into a movie or TV show to a production company. They have a certain amount of time to get a screenplay together, shop it around, and hopefully get a movie company on board.

Here’s the official press release from Shoulderhill regarding the option.

When will the movie come out? Don’t know yet…and I say YET because I believe it will get bought. A movie company has to purchase interest in the movie to actually produce this. This stage has not happened yet.

As to the casting…I have nothing to do with it. No author does…except probably JK Rowling who insisted that the movie company use only British actors and actresses. I don’t have any say in who gets cast in the movie, if it is to happen.

Believe me…WHEN there’s a movie company on board, I will be screaming the news from the roof tops! Until then, keep your fingers crossed that Kendall and company will make to the big (or small) screen. In the meantime, you can join the GHOST HUNTRESS Facebook page run by Shoulderhill to make suggestions for stars for the characters.

Hope this clears things up…and thanks again for loving the books!

Guess what I’m holding in my little paws?  FIVE advanced copies of GHOST HUNTRESS: THE DISCOVERY…fresh off the press!  The book doesn’t come out until May 2011, but I’m offering a very special deal…

For the first five (5)  people who e-mail me through my website:  if you purchase three (3) of the GHOST HUNTRESS books, I will throw in an advanced copy of THE DISCOVERY for free.  The total will be $40…which includes pre-Christmas shipping.  What could be better?

Let me know!
